Digital Fluoroscopy (FPD)
The flat panel detector (FPD) has overshadowed its predecessor – image intensifier, producing high quality images. The technological advancement and maturation make FPD economically viable and feasible, albeit still relatively expansive. Its application in medical diagnosis has open up an entirely new arena for high expectations in image quality
Digital Fluoroscopy with Image Intensifier (I.I)
Fluoroscopy is medical diagnostic tool that uses x-ray, but instead of still images, the viewing on the LCD giving real-time visualization of the region under examinations. Clinical findings for various parts of the body – GI tract, bladder, etc are recorded in digital format, leaving conventional recording on hardcopy behind.
Direct Digital Radiography
The technological advancement of the flat panel detector (FPD) has lead to another revolution of general radiography – cassette-less and film-less, i.e. direct digital radiography (DDR). Same principle in x-ray generation but its simplicity in workflow makes the clinical efficiency improved tremendously. Vast benefits such as low dose, immediate image preview, seamless connectivity, comprehensive automation make DDR system a highly desirable solution for high throughput centre demanding for superb image quality.
Mobile Surgical C-arm System
Mobile surgical system, otherwise known as mobile C-arm, is a piece of diagnostic tool that cannot be omitted from the comprehensive surgical environment. The capability of mobile C-arm system is not comparable to those dedicated fluoroscopy or angiography system, but is essential in basic yet complex orthopedic and urological procedures. The mobile C-arm provides is a unique platform to bridge the gap between the static general radiography – which is not appropriate for surgical environment and the dedicated angiography procedures due to its gigantic and relatively less mobile in nature.

Early detection of lesions is essential before it mutates to malignant form which is difficult to curb. Projections from various angles, combined with the compression paddle for uniform thickness, are required to reveal all the underlying, yet potentially lethal lesions.
Conventional X-Ray
An unknown type of electromagnetic radiation, hence its name ‘x-ray’, was discovered about more than a century ago by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen. Since then this particular form of electromagnetic radiation has been widely used in diagnostic radiology and has been extended of its application to other field including medical treatment using high energy x-rays and industrial inspections for non-destructive testing (NDT).
